My expectations on a PhD student

I expect that you
- Work full time, i.e. at least 40 h/week.
- Study 60 hpl courses according to the study plan.
- Fulfil your teaching or other department duties.
- Back-up your results.
Make a weekly backup of all your results.
Finished results should be kept in a good order on two different hard
disks (idential copies).
- Gives at least one department seminar every year.
- All presentations should be copied to /away/bio/Presentations,
so that all in your group can reuse your results and pictures.
- Keep track of the literature and show important articles to me.
- Keep your home page updated with research and articles.
- Go to a conference each year and present your results in a poster.
- Apply for money for your conferenses.
- Actively search for information about proper courses and
conferenses.
- Actively run your project (have more ideas than can be realised).
- Know more about your area than me when you are finished.
- Be aware of the time plan of your project.
- Be aware of the limited economy and data resourses of your
project.
- Actively take part in the activities and duties of the department.
- Visit all department seminars.
- Help new students and master workers.
